TECHNICAL SERGEANT SAMUEL D. HULL BIOGRAPHY

TSgt Samuel D. Hull is a Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) Training Instructor at Detachment 520, Cornell University, Ithaca, New York. In this capacity, he serves as an instructor and primary enlisted advisor on cadet academics, professional development, military discipline, and welfare for over 60 United States Air Force and United States Space Force officer candidates. Additionally, he is directly responsible for all cadet life-cycle personnel actions, including in-processing, medical, physical, field training, enlistments, categorization, and commissioning. He also has oversight of all cadet pay actions including tuition, fees, subsistence, and textbook funds in excess of $550K annually.

TSgt Hull enlisted in the Air Force in December 2012. After completing Basic Military Training, he graduated first from the Korean Basic Course in June 2014 at the Defense Language Institute at the Presidio of Monterey, California, and later from the Cryptologic Language Analyst Apprentice Course at Goodfellow Air Force Base (AFB), Texas in October 2014. Prior to his current position, Sergeant Hull was the Section Chief of Training, 43d Electronic Combat Squadron (ECS), Davis Monthan AFB, Arizona.

Following graduation from technical training, Sergeant Hull was assigned to Davis-Monthan AFB, Arizona where he qualified as an Analysis Operator aboard the EC-130H COMPASS CALL. During this period, he accrued over 1000 flight hours and was selected to become an Instructor, Mission Crew Supervisor, and ultimately a Flight Evaluator for three aircrew positions. He has participated in multiple Large Force Exercises including the US Air Force Weapons Instructor Course and RED FLAG, along with contingency deployments to South Korea and Japan.
